Talayot Apartments Menorca – Our Honest Family Holiday Review
Can a 2-star self-catering resort really be better than a 4-star all-inclusive hotel? Well, after spending 11 nights at the Talayot Apartments in Cala n Forcat, Menorca, we were genuinely surprised by just how much we enjoyed our stay!
Having previously stayed at the nearby 4-star Globales Almirante Farragut, we weren’t quite sure what to expect. However, the Talayot Apartments certainly exceeded our expectations.
Our one-bedroom apartment was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, with air conditioning, good cooking facilities and an enormous balcony. But it was the resort itself that really impressed us.
With seven swimming pools, including children’s splash pools, plenty of sun loungers, daytime activities and evening entertainment, there was always something to keep the whole family occupied. Better still, we rarely struggled to find somewhere to relax by a pool, something we couldn’t say about our previous 4-star hotel!
The location was another huge bonus. With beaches, restaurants, bars and a water park all within walking distance, plus easy access to Ciutadella, it was an excellent base for exploring this beautiful part of Menorca.
So, would The Hadwins recommend the Talayot Apartments? Absolutely! In fact, we’d happily return. For families looking for an affordable, enjoyable holiday in Menorca, this 2-star resort proved that you don’t always need to pay 4-star prices to have a fantastic holiday.
